My name is Nina, I’m 46 years old. It all started in 2020 when I took over my father-in-law’s fly tying box. Inside the box was a fly tying vise from the eighties, a few feathers, hooks and wire. I didn’t open the box until the summer of 2021 and began by trying to tie a couple of super pupas. During a trip to Laxviken that same summer I really got a taste for fly tying and in august 2021 I tied my first proper flies.

I didn’t really understand what I was doing and how hard it was so I dived right into spinning deer hair into daddy-long-legs and making a Dynamite Harry under the supervision of Joakim Höijer who has since become a mentor to me. Then came more deer hair in the form of Streaking caddis and even Wally Wings and Origami Wings. I also have fun tying big flies like Sex Dungeons and Flatwings.
