Kevin Nadeau

My name is Kevin Nadeau, and I’m from Quebec, Canada.
I started fly fishing and tying flies in 2016. That same year, I joined the Montreal Fly Fishing Club (MMM) and that’s where I learned all the basic techniques to tie flies; from tying a parachute Adams to putting my first feather wings on a Silver Doctor.
Being passionate about the history of fly fishing and fly tying, I was invited to join the administrative board of the Canadian/Montreal Fly Fishing Museum in 2020.
With time, I’ve been able to make connections with other passionate fly tiers or collectors around the globe.
I try to use as many original materials as possible (and enjoy the hunt for these materials) but also love creating my own substitutes or reworking my own hooks, making them as realistic and true to form as possible. While I only tied my first classic fly a few short years ago in 2018, I’m excited to see what the future will bring me in terms of fly tying.
