Hi everyone, I’m Fabio Federighi and I live in Florence in Tuscany.

I like to tie flies in various styles, especially in “Italian Style”, a style created by Francesco Palù in the 70s, which, through the choice of materials and their particular arrangement, gives movement and vitality to the imitation.

I also tie flies for various fishing techniques and fish species, freshwater, saltwater, salmon and sea trout, but also hyper realistic.

I fish around the world and have been tying flies at many international festivals for many years together with many friends, anglers and fly tyers. Among the most beautiful experiences I participate in every year are the Fly Festivals in Europe, Denmark, Germany, Sweden, Holland, Ireland and England, are some of the countries where these events take place, without excluding the American experience in Somerset New Jersey at the Fly Tying Symposium.

I am part of the Italian team of Ahrex Hooks, Core Hooks, Swiss CDC, FlyFish Europe.

With my friend Gianluca Nocentini I wrote the “Manuale del moderno costruttore di mosche artificiali”.

I have also written numerous articles in trade magazines and my flies are in many international fly tying books.

With my friend Federico Renzi, after having created the Fly Tying Experience, we moved on to create the most beautiful corner of Italian and foreign fly tyers that can be seen in Italy, namely the Italian Fly Tying Show.
