I live in the Suffolk countryside, with my partner and our many pets!
I have a pretty full on ‘day job’ working as a Registered vet nurse, heading a team of 19 nurses at a 1st opinion and referral ophthalmology and orthopaedic practice.
Fishing and fly tying is what I did to get some head space and reset, and it has become an integral part of my life! I mainly tie saltwater and predator flies, and more recently concentrating on different predator popper and propeller patterns.
I have been fortunate to host some exciting saltwater trips, taking groups after bonefish, tarpon, GT and trigger in Belize and Christmas Island. I also worked for two seasons managing a salmon lodge in northern Norway, where on my days off I was able to place my bets, and cast for silver in the beautiful rivers. Whilst there I also targeted halibut on fly and landed a record 44kg fish, and held the record for 5 years.
At home, I love fishing from one of my kayaks for pike, chub and perch in my local rivers, and pike remain one of my all time favourite fish!
