British Fly Fair International

The Premier Fly Tying Show

Paul Monaghan

Paul Monaghan

Born in South Wales, but have lived in the South East of England most of my life. I’ve enjoyed and am competent in most disciplines of angling and tied flies since I was a kid. However, Flyfishing and tying always have a special place in my heart.

Life’s commitments and responsibilities don’t allow me to travel much. Therefore, I make best of what fishing opportunities are close by. Therefore, pike, zander and perch are my focus with the fly and lures. I’m also a keen kayak angler, which makes the perfect tool for fishing on the big rivers nearby.
I specialize and really enjoy tying bucktails for my local species and the occasional traveling angler who wants the thrill of GT, Arapaima, tigerfish to name a few.

I first tied at the BFFI back in 2017, before being a regular on Tyers Row. I’ve taken a break over the last two shows, so it’s great to be back. I look forward to meeting old and making new friends at the show.

See you there.
