Marvin Nolte

I started tying flies in 1974, professionally in 1983. Although perhaps best known for my salmon flies, I enjoy tying all kinds of flies, especially those I fish with trout and bonefish flies.
After obtaining a degree in biology I joined the US Army where I was a bomb disposal officer. In 1980 I moved to Wyoming and worked as the radiation safety officer in a uranium-processing mill.
I retired in 1993 and began tying flies full time. Except for a brief stint as the newsreader at a local television station, I have not done much except fish and tie since then. Someone has to.
