British Fly Fair International

The Premier Fly Tying Show

Graham Forbes

Graham Forbes

I am based in Inverness and enjoy salmon fishing on many local rivers in the Highlands. The Thurso is my favourite, followed by the Ness and Carron and I am lucky to have these rivers within easy access of home.

I have been tying flies since the age of 13 and am still learning everyday. I enjoy adding modern materials to classic patterns and seeing what success they can bring.

New materials and colours keep my creative side busy and I’m always happy to try different colour combinations in my patters.

I like nothing better than hearing of friends catching fish on my flies and love the social side of events such as the BFFI where fellow fly tyers can share ideas.

Graham.
