The River Ceiriog rises on the peat moorlands of Wales’ Berwyn Mountains and flows for 18 dramatic and fast flowing miles to join the River Dee below Ruabon.

Lloyd George ( Prime Minister from 1916 to 1922 ) described the picturesque Ceiriog Valley as “ a little bit of heaven on earth”.

Ceiriog Fly Fishers Ltd owns and leases fishing rights of about 8 miles mostly from both banks ( for part of its length the river forms the boundary between Wales and England ). The club waters have long been regarded as one of the best rain fed streams in the land.
